Pillars of Confident Speaking in #TheCSC

On your journey to be a more confident and effective communicator, you will learn to embody the pillars of our community.

Four P's of Speaking: Pitch, Pace, Power and Pause improve your ability to engage listeners when communicating.

2.

Conciseness: Learn to edit your thoughts and only say what's most important. It creates more interest and engagement.

3.

Creative Thinking: Learning to think on your feet will prepare you to respond with confidence in any situation.

4.

Practice, Practice, Practice: We strive for progress, not perfection. Making mistakes gets you closer to your goal.

Challenge Questions

You have 60, 45 or 30 seconds to answer an impromptu question with a logical & concise response using the 4P's of speaking.

Random Topics

You have 60 seconds to provide a logical response about a random topic. The goal is to be clever, creative and have fun!

Script Reading

Read from a variety of scripts such as tv commercials, movie trailers or PSAs. The goal is to engage listeners with the tone and emotion of the script.
